1- Muslim New Year, 1st Muharram, known as Maal Hijrah

2- Gregorian New Year, 1st January

3- Tamil New Year, known as Chittirai Puttandu 

4- Chinese New Year/ Lunar New Year, beginning of spring 

5- Sikh New Year, known as Vaisakhi 

6- Vietnamese New Year, usually celebrated on the same day as CNY as they use the same calendar 

7- Tibetan New Year, known as Losar, celebrated from Jan- March, 

8- Iranian New Year, known as Nowruz, also celebrated widely across Central Asian countries known as Naw-Ruz

9- Balinese New Year, based on Saka Calendar, known as Nyepi 

10- Jewish New Year, known as Rosh Hashanah
